Facebook Incは、10/28、Facebook Connect 2021で、社名をMeta Incに変更することを発表。同社ホームページは、すでに社名やロゴがMetaに変更されている。
これまでは、同社が展開するSNSサービスと同じ名称のFacebookであったが、運営会社の社名を変更した。
今後は、Facebookの名称はSNSサービスのブランド名という位置付けになる。
また、同社が持っていたOculasブランドは廃止となり、Metaブランドとなる。
